What could be better than freshly-brewed coffee in the morning?
People all over the world have celebrated this magic bean from the time of the first brewing experiments with wild coffee beans in ancient Arabia. The brewing methods and roasting techniques may have changed since then, but Starbucks love of coffee for its invigorating effects and satisfying flavour has continued to grow.

Summer holidays are around the corner, and our minds are starting to wander off to dreams of glorious vacations. But if you’re a fan of Starbucks Frappuccino®, summer holidays may not be the only thing you should be looking forward to. Yes, it’s time for one of our summer favourites to come out to play again: the Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino®!
The Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino® is the stuff that summer dreams are made of. This dreamy treat is smooth, chocolaty, crunchy and creamy, all at the same time. Handcrafted by your barista, Mocha Cookie Crumble is made with rich mocha sauce, vanilla syrup, and chocolate chips, blended together with roast coffee, milk, and ice. The blend is then topped with chocolate whipped cream and a generous sprinkle of chocolate cookie crumbles. There aren’t too many better ways to beat the heat this summer!
You can also customise your favourite Frappuccino® so you have your favourite drink just the way you like it. Your Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino® can be made with Starbucks Origin Espresso, or, for non-coffee drinkers, you can ask for a Mocha Cookie Crumble Cream Frappuccino®.
But wait – there’s more. We have two new summer specials to announce: Mango Passion Fruit Juice Blend and Mixed Berry Juice Blend, which are being introduced across the Middle East and Africa region for the first time. Both flavours are blended with ice to keep you cool.
For our coffee connoisseurs, there are two Starbucks Origin Espresso coffees to choose from: Peru Amazonas, a unique coffee with sparkling highlights and flavours of toasted black walnut and burnt sugar; and Columbia Tolima, grown in the rugged, mountainous area of central-western Colombia, Columbia Tolima is a little less acidic in taste and has subtle undertones of toasted walnuts and cocoa.
May all your summer dreams come true!Read full post

Starbucks believes in making a difference in the communities we serve. While we try to do this all year round, once a year we dedicate a whole month to community service.
It’s called the Starbucks Global Month of Service, and during this time, we invite partners (employees) and customers across the world to volunteer their time to support community service projects in the places that we do business. It’s one of the ways we try to support local communities, but is also a great way of encouraging our partners, customers and the public to develop a greater understanding of local community issues.
Our annual Global Month of Service has been a part of Starbucks culture for five years now, and this year, more than 1,000 Starbucks partners and customers from around the MENA region volunteered nearly 8,000 hours of their time to local community projects in Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Furthermore, in addition to our partners (employees) and customers, local suppliers were invited to help organize bigger projects that add greater value to the local communities we mutually serve. As a result, 30 of our local suppliers joined hands with us and made direct contributions by sending their own volunteers and providing logistical support for our projects.
All our community projects this year aimed to support children, and we identified four community projects specifically to support organisations helping children with special needs.
- In Jeddah, 100 partners and customers joined hands with the Municipality of Jeddah and the Saudi Autism Center to help promote Autism Awareness Month. Starbucks partners also volunteered at the Saudi Autism Center to help renovate the center’s facilities and supply new equipment.
- In Salmiyah, Kuwait, Starbucks volunteers helped to renovate the Vocational Rehabilitation Center.
- In Bahrain, our team of volunteers helped renovate the Al Rashid Center for Autism.
- In the UAE, partners and customers volunteered to renovate the interior and exterior of Dubai Center for Special Needs, including the center’s play area and swimming pool.
In other projects across the region, Starbucks partners and customers joined hands with Al Khor Academy in Qatar to help plant the school's surrounding gardens, helping pupils connect with nature and learn a little about plants in the process. In Dammam, Saudi Arabia, the team helped renovate the Dar Al Ma’arif School library.
We also tried to inspire young people to think about global issues. In Riyadh, our partners and customers engaged with students at King Saud International School to discuss solutions to global issues such as peace and sustainability.
All of these projects were deeply rewarding for both the participants and the beneficiaries. So while our Global Month of Service is over for 2015, Starbucks supports ongoing community initiatives throughout the year. So, if you are interested in volunteering for a good cause, please do get in touch!Read full post
