We’re making our stores as green as we can by using responsible building materials and energy efficient designs to reduce our environmental footprint.
We're always looking for ways to improve the environmental performance of our stores.
Designing, building and operating our stores in ways that reduce our impact on the planet. We're incorporating everything from responsible building materials and furnishings to energy- and water-efficient measures into our store designs.
We’re excited about our ambitious goal to achieve LEED® certification globally for all new, company-owned stores.
- To inspire and nurture the human spirit
- One person, one cup and one neighbourhood at a time.
- With our mission in mind, Starbucks has created three new store design concepts: Artisan, Heritage and Regional Modern, throughout the world.
Our goal with these new concepts is that each store our customers walk into celebrates the unique character of the surrounding neighbourhood and that our store environment is rooted in our coffee heritage and Starbucks Shared Planet values.

After more than a year of planning, we were proud to have our first three Starbucks stores open in Morocco. Starbucks MENA opened its first two stores in the Morocco Mall, Casablanca in December last year and we have just celebrated a further store opening in Anfa Place, Casablanca.
We've worked hard to ensure that the new Casablanca stores provide what we call the 'third place': that familiar place between work and home where people like to meet. All three stores have been built in line with Starbucks' sustainable store design concepts combining best-practice build methods with locally relevant connections to culture and design.
Our flagship store in Morocco Mall was developed from a heritage concept, both showcasing Starbucks' mercantile coffee roots as well as providing a comfortable meeting place decorated with traditional fabrics and carpets.
A regional modern concept was chosen for our Anfa Place store taking its cue from the surrounding area's contemporary, white washed architecture. This store is an airy, light filled space with an open mezzanine, customised wood walls, soft seating groups made up of contemporary lounge furniture and locally sourced Moroccan carpets with a residential feeling.
Pop into one of our new stores to enjoy your favourite espresso beverage or get a bite to eat and let us know what you think. We can't wait to hear your comments!Read full post
